The Algae Eater is a stunning and serene fish that excels at devouring algae. It stands out as one of the few fish that happily consumes Black Brush, Red, or Beard Algae. While the Flying Fox fish can display aggression and territorial behavior, they do not prey on other fish or larger shrimp species. However, they may intimidate smaller, timid, or delicate species, so it’s important to be cautious when introducing tankmates. Keeping Flying Foxes alone can reduce their likelihood of aggression.
