Blueberry Tetras are remarkably peaceful and sociable. They thrive in groups and truly flourish when kept in schools of six or more. In smaller groups, they might hide or seem skittish, but with plenty of friends, their confidence increases, and their natural schooling behavior becomes a constant and captivating sight to behold. They thrive best in tranquil community tanks—consider soft-bodied fish such as Corydoras, Rasboras, Otocinclus, and other small, non-aggressive tetras. They also pair well with freshwater snails and even adult dwarf shrimp, particularly in tanks that provide ample plant cover and microhabitats. Like many small fish, they might nibble on baby shrimp, but dense mosses and hardscape crevices offer shrimplets a solid chance of survival.
