Panda Garra are resilient little fish that thrive in a well-maintained environment. They enjoy water that flows quickly and is rich in oxygen, often found clinging to flat surfaces like pebbles and glass. It’s important to maintain stable water parameters, with a preferred pH range of 6.5 to 7.5. These fish are generally peaceful, though they can show mild territorial behavior towards one another. When kept alone, they might chase after fish that resemble them. However, having a group of four or more can help reduce this behavior and distribute any aggression among themselves. Panda Garra are excellent algae eaters, happily munching on various types of algae, including green, brown, hair, and black brush algae. They are not strictly herbivores, though, and will readily accept a variety of foods.
