FAHAKA PUFFERFISH

The Fahaka Puffer, a member of the Tetraodon genus, is known for its aggressive nature and large size. Due to its rapid growth and adult size, it requires a spacious aquarium with strong filtration. These predators do not tolerate other fish in the same tank, so they should be kept alone in a species-only aquarium. Fahaka Puffers have been known to attack fish in neighboring tanks, so precautions should be taken. They have a voracious appetite, so proper filtration and aeration are essential. Regular water changes are recommended. To prevent damage, heaters should be placed in a sump or a thermo-filter should be used. Like other puffer species, Fahaka Puffers can inflate when threatened, but this should never be provoked as it can be harmful, especially if done above water.
