The Platy is a low-maintenance fish ideal for novice aquarists. Commonly referred to as the Moonfish or Southern Platy, this popular species exhibits a variety of colors and fin types, with the most prevalent being a vibrant red. Notable variations include Wagtail, Blue, Simpson Tuxedo, and Simpson Coral Platy, among others. The Platy enhances the visual appeal of an aquarium and is simple to care for, making it an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced fish keepers.
