he Queen Botia, also known as the Queen Loach, is a visually striking species that exhibits medium growth and is native to the clear hill streams of Bangladesh and Northeastern India. In its natural habitat, this loach is commonly observed in loose schools over rocky substrates in regions characterized by moderate to strong currents. Similar to other species within the Botia and Loach families, it is a social fish that establishes intricate social hierarchies and should ideally be maintained in groups of no fewer than five individuals within an aquarium setting. While it is an active and assertive feeder, the Queen Botia generally exhibits a peaceful demeanor towards tankmates that are too large to be consumed, thriving alongside other medium-sized, active species such as various barbs and danios.
