The Gold Laser Cory catfish is a visually stunning addition to any softwater community aquarium. Additionally, creating some shaded areas with live plants will enhance their natural habitat. One interesting characteristic of Corydoras catfish is their ability to breathe air intestinally. To accommodate this, it is important to leave a small gap between the water’s surface and the cover slides, allowing the fish to come up for air. They may do this multiple times throughout the day. Currently, the Gold Laser Cory catfish is believed to be one of the various color variations of Corydoras aeneus. However, further scientific research may reveal that it is a distinct species of its own. Presently, it is commonly sold as Corydoras sp., Corydoras sp. “Peru orange stripe,” or Corydoras aeneus var. It is also known by the name CW010.
