Description

Tiger barb 3-4cm

Tiger Barbs can display aggressive behavior when kept in a group of 5 or fewer individuals. These fish have a natural inclination to swim together in a group and are usually quite active. However, in confined spaces, they may resort to nipping at the fins of other members. To prevent aggression among tank mates, it is recommended to keep at least 6  Tiger Barbs together. This ensures a safer and more harmonious environment for them to thrive as a cohesive group. When selecting tank mates for  Tiger Barbs, it’s important to avoid pairing them with fish that have long fins or are slow swimmers. This is because Tiger Barbs have a tendency to nip at the fins of other fish, which can lead to issues in the aquarium. Therefore, it’s best to avoid housing them with species such as Angelfish or Long fin Danio. Tiger Barbs are an excellent choice for novice fish keepers. They thrive best when kept in schools, but can also be housed individually with careful consideration given to providing a larger tank and ample hiding places or plants for a sense of security. Additionally, they prefer an active environment, making them compatible with other schooling fish like Tetras, Danios, and Platys.
