The Black Neon Tetra is an excellent choice for a shoaling fish that adds a touch of elegance to any tank it shares with colorful fish. They especially stand out in heavily planted aquariums, where other vibrant species might detract from the beauty of the aquascape. Similar to Neon Tetras, they are adaptable to a wide range of conditions and can thrive in both dark and clear water in their natural habitat. To fully appreciate their beauty, it is recommended to keep them in groups of at least 6 individuals. However, they are not demanding in terms of care and will tolerate various conditions as long as they are not extreme. You can feed them pellets, flakes, or fresh/frozen insect larvae to ensure their nutritional needs are met.
