This medium sized Ciano filter foam has been designed for use inside the Ciano Filter CFBIO XL. It provides excellent mechanical filtration for collecting fine particles in the water column.  This should be replaced when clogged or Ciano recommend every 15 days

The micro fine filration pad is suitable for use inside cold and tropical freshwater aquaria and provides excellent biological and mechanical filtration results.

The Ciano Water Pad for CFBIO XL filter works by trapping the fine particles that would normally get through coarser filter media.  The micro fine pad helps keep the water polished and crystal clear.

Note: for best results it is strongly recommended to replace the cartridge after 15  days of use.
